I got fed up recently of never having a way to pass on info regarding the whole ChineseSpiders 'thing' so I finally decided to get some business cards printed up.
Thats all I have to say for today.
Oh and I put a new banister up for my Gran.
Welcome to the ChineseSpiders Blog. Here you will find information about anything in this small world of audio and sound I consider interesting. This is all pretty new to me so this object of this blog may change over time.

MashTastic
Browsing through a few tweets today and stumbled upon this little gem of a VST!
The creators claim it is able to separate individual audio elements from a stereo field.
The plug-in has been created by a company called QuikQuak, who, if i'm honest, i have never heard of.
I saw something similar to it a while ago and the possibilities with a tool such as this are limitless.
Cue the record companies complaining about copyright infringements.
Heres the blurb from the creators themselves:
MashTactic is a plug-in that can separate various parts of a full audio mix.
Many sounds, include vocals can be cut or isolated from a track.
* 8 stereo areas of sharp cut-off filtering.
* Adjust levels separately in all selected zones.
* A great tool for mashup music makers, as vocals and other sounds can be identified and manipulated within a full mix.
* Works on transients, allowing the user to emphasise or cut percussive sounds giving control over punch in drum tracks.* Great for analysing balance and frequency mix of a track you're composing.
Go and check out their other range of software at http://www.quikquak.com/

New Track Mastered by Rudiments Of Theory
I hate to keep bombarding this page with loads of Soundcloud links but here is another.
The nice gentleman that is Rudiments of Theory has took the time to master one of my tracks.
Please take the time to check his music out on on the cloud as well as taking the time to listen to listen to this master.

Wiener Kernal
Drama, drama, drama.
This composition is my expression of drama.
A live electronics set using circuit bent toys and hardware samplers.
This piece explores drama as a musical concept.
There are 2 halves to this piece, the first is completely indeterminate with the second half using structure to bring the whole piece together.

David Kusek is the new Mystic Meg
I read this book a few years ago while writing a dissertation, but really wanted to give it a mention as I flicked through it recently. From publicist to consumer, this book looks at previous trends and makes well informed judgments to the way the music industry is headed.
They also have a website to accompany the book which is constantly updated.
Don't fear change, embrace it.
